Why do we train if we don't make a living from running?

2026-09-27

Not all of us train to win a race. We have family, work and full weeks, but we like the mountain.

We like heading out, breathing, finding trails and, now and then, pinning on a bib.

A race is also a morning in the mountains: meeting up with your mates, meeting people and sharing the atmosphere.

The bib sets a date and the way there is part of the prize too.

In the end, running or walking in the mountains is also this: giving yourself a morning, saying hello to some cows, laughing with family and friends and coming home with that feeling of having lived something big.

We have the life we have, and training has to fit into it.

The plan adapts to life, not life to the plan.

Maybe the goal isn't to run more, but to be able to keep doing it for many years.

And that is where ENDURAQ is born.

Not to tell you how you should live your training, but to help you put a little order into it, understand better what you do and prepare your races without losing sight of what matters.

Because in the end it isn't about training more.

It's about still wanting to come back to the mountain.
